Fresh Eats at The National

National-BugI stopped into The National to taste the fresh and scrumptious grub they’re throwing down for the Food Slam on October 2. The vegan Caesar salad with romaine hearts and a creamy dressing of tahini, silken tofu, garlic, capers, lemon juice, and olive oil is rich and delicious. The veggie chili, hearty, heavenly, and packed with kidney beans and fresh vegetables including zucchini, eggplant, green beans, and carrots, is lightly spiced with smoky chilies. Chef AJ Dixon uses locally-grown and organic ingredients whenever possible, so The National’s fresh fare has a clean, vivacious, and nourishing character that’s gonna make your gut feel like a million bucks.
